OMG its Friends.. and it’s back in board game form as well as on your tellybox via the mighty Netflix streaming service.
In stock now! (of course) we have this brand new Monopoly Board game which will be an amazing gift for any fan of the massive 90s hit TV series.
So, lets take a look at the game, first thing you notice is the New York skyline on the board and the artwork that brings the memories flooding back. Of course being monopoly you will always have ‘Go’ ‘Jail’ ‘Go To Jail’ and ‘Just Parking’ spaces but the rest of the board is quite different. The property spaces are all massive moments from the TV series, you can buy them and put a Coffee Cup (Central Perk of course) or a sofa (as seen in the opening credits) on them. The traditional railway spaces have been replaced with in-series transport such as Relaxi Taxi, Phoebe’s grandma’s Taxi, Joey’s boat and Monica’s Sports Car.
Instead of having ‘Chance’ and ‘Community Chest’ cards this version has cards called Apartment 19 & Apartment 20 which are of course the apartments where the main characters in friends reside. You’ll also find that the ‘Super Tax’ space has been replaced by your Central Perk tab.. so your coffee habit can bankrupt you!
The tokens are incredibly detailed enabling you to play as one of the 6 friends. Choose from Rachel’s handbag, Ross’ dinosaur, Chandler’s sweater vest or even Phoebe’s acoustic guitar
This game is for 6 players ages 8+
This is definitely recommended for any Friends fan. It’s enough of a departure from standard monopoly to make it a different fun game whilst maintaining the gameplay aspects you know and love.
